Double your closet rod without touching the closet.
Slip the connector over the neck of a hanger and it gives you a second hook hanging below it. Hang another hanger there. Do it again if you want. Suddenly the two feet of rod that held four shirts holds eight, and you didn't buy a wardrobe or drill anything.
It's the simplest fix there is for a closet that ran out of rod before it ran out of clothes. Small apartments, dorm rooms, shared closets, the coat closet in the hallway that everyone in the house uses.
Also good for hanging outfits together — shirt, jacket, and trousers on one vertical stack so a full look comes off the rod in one grab. Useful for packing, for laying out the week, and for keeping suit pieces from drifting apart.
The opening is sized to accept the hooks on wire, plastic, wooden, and velvet hangers. The body is ribbed and matte, so the ones you can see look deliberate.

How to use it
Lift a hanger off the rod, feed its hook through the opening in the connector, and hang the hanger back up. The connector now sits under it with an open hook ready for the next one. Work from the top down when building a stack.
